Giving back to our families, communities, and land is a way of life for people in the Pacific. On the ground, that often means sharing food sources, providing labour or care and distributing finances. Joining in the culture of giving back, younger generations have settled across the world to pursue a better life for their families and communities back home. The money that gets sent back is the leading contributor to the Pacific Islands economy.
It's our goal to create a Pacific economy that is self-sufficient and less reliant on the aid sent back to the island from family members. We want to develop a generation of business owners and entrepreneurs empowered to support their families, community, and broader Pacific economy.

We've spent time connecting with Pacific Island business owners and identifying the growth potential. While there is a robust lending infrastructure on multiple islands, the absence of adequate equity capital and strategic philanthropic capital constrains the development of a growing, vibrant SME market.

The Pasifika Diaspora Fund will fill the gap and provide the risk capital, along with
business mentorship, resources and much-needed support. We aim to develop the
region’s overall investment pipeline for more advanced stages of investment and
growth.
